Beyond The Music

In 1966, Neil and his family moved to the U.S from Yorkshire, England. He has lived in such places as Seattle, St Louis, and now resides in Southern California.

Neil’s family is no stranger to music and performing. His father Vince Ford, of Vince Ford and the Tycoons, toured Europe during the 1960’s.

Neil was honored to have served the County of Los Angeles as a Deputy Sheriff for 9 years until a work related injury forced him to retire.

Over the following years Neil has worked with some of the best musicians and writers in the Country Music world.

Neil has recently spent some time in Nashville and has been honored to work with one of the premier Country Music writers, Mack Vickery. Mack has numerous multi-platinum hits. Among the most recognizable is “The Fireman” by George Strait.

Neil has gained notoriety on the European country music scene and has been featured on BBC radio, Hospital Radio and others throughout Europe.

Neil is a regular staple on the radio in Europe and a favorite in Yorkshire, England, Neil’s birth place.

Neil’s latest album, The Eagle, is due out soon. It will be a tribute to his mentor and friend, Mack Vickery, who passed away a few years ago. The songs selected for this CD are the last batch of songs given to Neil from Mack just before he passed.

This emotional tribute to a Hall of Fame writer is very personal to Neil and the songs chosen show the versatile and incredible talents of Mack’s writing.
